(p.s. this is sample fiction story from my Novel ” Coddiwomple ” ) Lisa looked out at the scenery whizzing past the window of the train carriage as it pulled away from Paddington Station. She had been meaning to take this trip for years and years, but somehow had never gotten around to it. She was happy that she’d finally got around to booking her trip to West Wales.

 

Three men sat around a table in a dark room. Each had a small screen with their eyes locked upon it. The walls were dark, and the windows long since boarded up. The only light came from the giant screen that projected an image. This image was of a large warehouse with an old satellite mounted on the roof.

 

The book is set in a future dystopian society where society is divided into two different social classes. The world has been destroyed by a meteor, and the survivors are in large floating cities that are thousands of miles above earth. Every aspect of life is controlled by the computer god named “the system” and this is meant to be dictated by its scripture – The Way. People have replaced vital body organs with computer chips and they have become dependent on their computers to control their existence. They are not allowed to think for themselves or question what “the system” says. The people have lost the ability to live normal lives, and even feel real emotions anymore. There is a deep underground resistance to the oppressive regime of “the System” called “TOWERS” led by a man called Christopher Mark. This novel follows the struggle between Mathew and Gran against “the system” as they try to live a normal life against all odds.
