The Norton Book of Science Fiction is a volume that satisfies the yearning desire to read more in our chosen passion. I haven’t read many anthologies, but this one is a great start. I had heard that Fred Pohl was an editor worth his salt, and he did not disappoint in this collection of stories. He managed to pick a mix of stories that varied in the science fiction flavors they included. That made the book an enjoyable reading experience, especially when following it with another story that was decidedly different from what had just been read.
